Galatians 2:7-8
But on the contrary, they saw that I had been entrusted with the gospel to the uncircumcised (Gentiles), just as Peter had been[entrusted to proclaim the gospel] to the circumcised (Jews); 8 (for He who worked effectively for Peter and empowered him in his ministry to the Jews also worked effectively for me and empowered me in my ministry to the Gentiles).
In this text Paul has confronted Peter about the gospel being spread to the Jews and the Gentiles. Paul hits on a very important concept for those in ministry. If God has called you to ministry, even if it a very specific ministry you can count on Him to equip, enable, and empower you to carry it out. This also reminds each of us in ministry that is ok to be differently called, or have a different set of talents, because He has something He needs us to accomplish, and it is different from other ministers. Sometimes we may look around and say I could do so much more if I was talented like so and so, or if I had been given that ability to communicate like so and so, and we allow the enemy to convince that our ministry isn't as important as another one. Just remember this we are all laborers together, and Heaven rejoices when 1 sinner comes home, so regardless of anything else, we should focus on bringing those we have been sent to minister to into the Kingdom of God.
Prayer: Father, Help me to be content with my calling and talents and be faithful in using them for you and building up the kingdom. Remind me I have been called, empowered, enabled, and equipped for this and anointed by Your hand. In the Name of Jesus I pray. Amen
Grace and peace be multiplied to you!
Eric
